Monday, Sept. 28

  • Homecoming Carnival

    Join the Millikin family for the Homecoming Carnival on the Quad. Stop by and enjoy the great carnival atmosphere with games, mechanical bull rides, raffle prizes, music, cotton candy, popcorn and much more! At 8:30 p.m., stroll over to Frank M. Lindsay Field, where the Homecoming Court will be introduced and we will end the night with fireworks to celebrate the start of Homecoming!

Tuesday, Sept. 29

  • Student Talent Show

    Millikin students, faculty and staff come together for this great tradition during Homecoming week. Join us at Kirkland as we feature Millikin’s finest in the talent show.

Wednesday, Sept. 30

  • Chalk the Walk

    A Millikin favorite! Students compete to create the best chalk design behind Shilling.
  • Illusionist Wayne Hoffman
    -->  8 p.m., Lower Richards Treat University Center (RTUC)
    Dust off the chalk and prepare to be amazed by illusionist Wayne Hoffman. How does he do that?!

Thursday, Oct. 1

  • Women’s Golf
    -->  8 a.m., Red Tail Run Golf Course
    Students and alumni are invited to come out and support the women’s golf team as they hit the links in a CCIW match. Plan now to join us for 9 a.m. tee times Thursday, Oct. 1, through Saturday, Oct. 3.
  • Career Connection: Educators Panel

    Practicing education alumni are invited back to serve on a panel for current students.
  • Powder Puff Football Game
    -->  9 p.m., Frank M. Lindsay Field
    A great event to celebrate the football player in everyone! Suit up and play or cheer on the players as Millikin women compete in teams for the title of Powder Puff Champion. Free snacks and fun!

Friday, Oct. 2

  • Career Connection: Grab a Bite, Learn a Byte, Share a Byte

  • Blue Connection Retail Art Gallery open

    A Millikin Arts and Entrepreneurship Program venture, where products are conceived, designed and/or crafted by the students who sell them.
  • University Archives Open
    -->  1-5 p.m., Staley Library
    Visit the Archives to browse through old yearbooks and memorabilia. Bring your own photos for us to scan and add to the collection.
  • Greek Life Open Houses

    Meet at your respective houses for a visit and tour.

    Reunion and School of Nursing Alumnus of the Year celebration honoring Tanya Andricks ’95.
  • Alumni Awards Dinner and Athletic Hall of Fame Induction

    Program begins at 6 p.m. Recognizing 2015 Alumni Award recipients and Athletic Hall of Fame inductees. All alumni and friends welcome. $25 per ticket. Reservations required by Sept. 25.

  • Master Class with m-pact

    Students and alumni are welcome to participate in a vocal music master class with the members of m-pact, an award-winning a cappella group featuring Jarrett Johnson ’01. Reservations required by Sept. 25.
  • Alumni Swim Meet

  • m-pact Performance
    -->  2 p.m., Kirkland Fine Arts Center
    Winner of the Vocal Group of the Year award at the Los Angeles Music Awards, a cappella group m-pact, featuring Jarrett Johnson ’01, has performed with pop superstars and jazz legends including Sheryl Crow, Natalie Cole, Bobby McFerrin and many others. Johnson is also a founding member of Chapter 6, an award-winning a cappella group which had its start in Millikin’s choral department. Tickets and more information available at kirklandfinearts.com.
  • Men’s Soccer vs. North Park

    Bags tournament and tailgate for alumni, students and friends of the Exercise Science and Sport department. Tournament begins at 3 p.m., tailgate at 4 p.m.
  • Alumni Choir Rehearsal

  • James Millikin Homestead Open House
    -->  10 a.m.-noon, 125 North Pine Street

    Millikin’s founder built this nationally registered historic home for his wife, Anna, whom he married on New Year’s Day in 1857. The James Millikin Homestead has been renovated and refurbished throughout the years to reflect how this historic home would have looked when the Millikins called it home. The Homestead is located two blocks east of campus.
  • Homecoming Color 5K
    -->  11 a.m., Fairview Park Pavilion
    Inviting all runners, joggers and walkers for the 3rd annual Homecoming Color 5K. Enjoy a 5K through Fairview, and get splashed with color along the way. Alumni are encouraged to participate! Contact Molly Berry at mberry@millikin.edu to register! Reservations encouraged by Sept. 25.
