Turn your MU degree into a new career in nursing through Millikin’s new MENP program (Master’s Entry into Nursing Practice: Pre-Licensure). This unique program is designed for individuals who hold a bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing field and want to move into the nursing profession.
The full-time, 28-month, MENP program allows students to complete the requirements for becoming a registered nurse while earning a master’s degree in nursing at the same time.

It is unusual for Millikin officials to close the campus due to weather, but they did just that on Feb. 1 and 2 after being overwhelmed by sleet and snow. But the university still found ways to help students stay warm and pass the time on their snow days. More

A Decaur newspaper article about the success of an MU student-managed investment fund was picked up by the Associated Press and found its way into newspapers around the country, including Chicago, Los Angeles, Anchorage, Alaska, and Bridgeport, Conn.

Dr. Jay E. Hakes will present the 2011 T.W. Samuels Lecture, “The World We Inherit: Why Energy Matters,” Monday, April 18. An energy and policy expert, he recently served as director of policy and research for the 2010-2011 BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Commission. The Commission’s report was described by the Washington Post as the “most comprehensive narrative of what happened … a clear, readable, insightful tale.” The lecture is free and open to the public. For several years, ending with the 1983-84 school year, Milllikin offered students the opportunity to take a one-credit course in January. Some of the courses featured the offbeat, such as basket-weaving, or focused on a subject that was a personal passion of the teaching professor.
What was the one-credit January course called? A. Immersion B. Winter Term C. January Studies D. Cold Credit
