Seventeen students recently took a musical trip back in time, recording original music by using 1950s technology at Sun Studio. The Memphis, Tenn., recording studio is a historic landmark commonly regarded as "The Birthplace of Rock ’n’ Roll" and was home to the famous Million Dollar Quartet impromptu recording session. MU’s community service recognized with Good Neighbor award.

Millikin received a Good Neighbor Award this fall for helping the 12th annual WSOY Community Food Drive collect a record-shattering 825,000 pounds of food for Decatur’s Catholic Charities and the Salvation Army.

Scholarships for students who also help themselves.

A foundation’s $100,000 donation to Millikin gives tuition scholarships to students with demonstrated financial need who are working to help pay for their educational expenses. It is modeled after the college experience of the 1941 alumnus who created the foundation. Read the news release…
