Dr. Eduardo Cabrera, professor of Spanish and chair of the modern languages department, has been selected as the chief reader designate for the Advanced Placement (AP) Spanish literature and culture program and exam given by the national College Board and the Educational Testing Service.
As chief reader, he will play a critical role in the preparation of the course description and exam for the subject, which is one of 34 AP programs offered by the College Board. AP courses and exams give students the opportunity to enter college with AP credits, which can allow them increased flexibility to move into upper-level courses, pursue a double major or study abroad while in college.
