Thousands of cookies (and countless calories) were consumed at the 79th annual Holiday Cookie Party, held Wednesday, Dec. 5, in Richards Treat University Center. Thanks to the efforts of 45-50 volunteers who provided and served the supply of goodies, MU students and employees enjoyed a sweet treat to welcome in the holiday season.

Christmas Cookie Party

Edit
So glad to see this tradition continue.  In the 50's faculty and their wives provided cookies, tea and coffee, and manned the table in the nicely decorated Library all day.  Students came as they could between classes.  The Madrigal Singers, in costume, provided live Christmas music.
It was so nice, I started that tradition at Park College when I became Associate Dean of Students there.
It is a wonderful way for students to feel connected to faculty families and enjoy the warmth of the season.

Cookie party

Edit
wow!  The cookie party was a real hit in the late 60's!  Glad to hear it is still going strong.  Dr. McCoy's wife made the neatest lady shaped cookies.
