Millikin officials launched the "Transform MU" Capital Campaign at a news conference held Friday, May 14, on campus. Even before the official announcement, generous supporters had committed $25.4 million (30 percent) of the $85 million goal.
The goals of the campaign are to:
- Transform three outdated buildings to enrich the overall quality of student life and enhance programs in theatre and dance, and exercise science and sport.
- Seek targeted funds for increasing student scholarships, sustaining the Millikin Fund, and providing support for faculty excellence, building endowment and infrastructure needs.

The 14th annual Big Blue Club (BBC) Golf Outing will be held May 28. Proceeds help support Millikin athletics.

Millikin has become the first institution of higher education in Illinois to earn an environmental certification for renovation of a campus building, ADM-Scovill Hall.
2010 Spring Commencement.

Brooks accepts dean position.
After a national search, Dr. Randy Brooks, dean of Teaching and Learning and professor of English, has been named the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Brooks has been a member of the Millikin faculty since 1990 and has been serving as acting dean for the college for more than a year.

Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach Dick Marshall was inducted into the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in April.

Annie's “24” ends with a bang.
In an unexpected plot twist, Renee Walker, a popular character on FOX-TV's series “24,” was shot by a sniper. Millikin alumni were disappointed because Annie Wersching '99 had portrayed Walker for the past two seasons.
