Thanks for your generosity these past two days to help us honor a man who had such an impact on so many lives. Our total stands at $21,542. More than 100 people gave to this effort in just two days! Amazing!
We have raised 61.5% of the $35,000 needed to name the Green Room in the new Center for Theatre and Dance in honor of Doc Golden, the former department chair. The comments you have shared about Doc have been inspiring, and we will make sure that Susan and his family see each one! Read more.
Although this two-day concentrated blitz through email and social media is ending, the effort to raise the funds will continue. We heard loud and clear from many of you that you want us to keep going until each dollar is raised for the #DocGolden Green Room Project.
And of course we will. This effort is close to my heart, just as it is to so many of you. If you weren't able to make a donation yet, know that you can still give
. Please consider a gift, if you haven't already made one, and spread the word. We WILL make this happen – for Doc and his family.
With sincere thanks,
Dean Laura Ledford
Millikin College of Fine Arts
P.S. Some of you have expressed thoughts about what we should call the room. Give us your thoughts by taking the survey
