David F. Hudson, 79, of Malabar, FL., formerly of Cowden, IL., passed away at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012, at his home in Malabar.
David was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was born May 7, 1932, in Cowden, IL., the son of Fred and Irma Russell Hudson.
He graduated form Cowden High School and attended Millikin University in Decatur, IL.
David was a member of the Methodist Church and Joppa Masonic Lodge of Cowden.
He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
David retired to his home in Malabar after many years as a Quality Control Supervisor with Boeing Air Craft Corporation. He was a private pilot and flight instructor. He and his wife enjoyed many years of square dancing. David was a volunteer with Eagle Corporation and he enjoyed riding every Friday with Tom Eschenberg for the Neighbor Watch.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Robbie Lee; step-son, Rick Lee and wife, Jane; four grandsons: David and Alex Hudson of Olympia, WA.; Carlos Hudson of Cookesville, TN.; and Ken Hudson of Gainesville, FL.; two great-grandchildren; brother-in-law and best friend Glen Williams of Lancaster, CA.; sisters-in-law: Margie Mooney and husband, Al; and Nina Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda; son, David; sister, Jane Williams; and his parents.
