Hunter L. Kickle, 76, of Mt. Zion passed away at 9:26 a.m., Thursday, November 08, 2012 in Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur.
Hunter was born January 9, 1936 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Hunter J. and Lillian R. (Lowry) Kickle. He was a retired chemist from A.E. Staley Manufacturing Company. He served in the US Air Force as a Survival Instructor. He married Virginia Day on August 19, 1962 and they recently celebrated their 50th anniversary. Hunter was a member of the Land of Lincoln A's (a Model-A Ford car club) and the Decatur Camera Club. He enjoyed many outdoor activities including annual elk hunting trips, deer hunting, fishing, camping and horseback riding.
Surviving is his wife: Virginia of Mt. Zion; daughters: Stephanie Brown and her husband Bill of Decatur, Suzanne Kobayashi and her husband Jeff of Springfield, and Andrea Miller and her husband Karl of St. Charles, MO; grandchildren: Sarah Browning of Decatur, Daniel Browning of Decatur, Kristin Kobayashi of Springfield, Rachel Kobayashi of Springfield, and Evan Miller of St. Charles, MO; brother: Brad Kickle and his wife Lynne of Mt. Zion. Also surviving is his special Border Collie, Jill.
Hunter was preceded in death by his parents.
