The Grounds department is responsible for the University’s distinctive park-like charm. Groundskeepers can be spotted campus-wide mowing, trimming, weeding, mulching, removing litter, pruning, fertilizing, spraying, planting, irrigating, plant care, sodding, and seeding the 35-acre core grounds and 40 acres of off campusproperty. Millikin might be known as the Big Blue, but Facility services keeps the campus looking a vibrant green. The department is also accountable for campus moving and special events set-ups. And, of course, Grounds employees do all of these jobs with employee and student safety in mind.
