April 2008- Nancy Freeman
Nancy joined the Millikin family in October 1998 as part-time Secretary in the School of Music. She became full-time Secretary in October 1999 –splitting her duties between the School of Music and the Department of Theatre and Dance. In August 2000, she began working full-time for the School of Music only, and became the Auditions Coordinator in August 2003.
“Nancy‟s attention to detail and ability to answer questions and give assistance is often the first experience prospective students and their families have with Millikin. The auditions run smoothly and students are well prepared because Nancy is such a calming, informed force in the midst of a very stressful situation.”
“Nancy is one of the few people in the department who connects with ALL the new students and helps them through the entire process from start to finish. She really is the „face‟ of the School of Music to new applicants and transfer students. Her pleasant, relaxed style of working with people always helps them (and us) cope with these difficult times much better! I don‟t know what we would do without her!”
