It is a pleasure to accept the recommendation of the Employee Recognition Committee that Andrew Heise be honored as Employee of the Month for December 2010. Andrew began working at Millikin University as Program Coordinator for the Center of Entrepreneurship on May 29, 2008. The Employee Recognition Committee received very compelling support for Andrew’s nomination, including the following comments:
“Andrew is the program coordinator for the Center for Entrepreneurship. He is responsible for ensuring that ALL of the Center Programs are delivered with quality and meet the expectations of our clients and our students. He is responsible for the HUB, our student incubator and originates and manages the workshops and activities of the HUB. I have never seen Andy upset and he has one of the most generous spirits I have ever encountered. He is creative and innovative in his problem solving and is always looking for ways to enhance the Center and the faculty and students that we serve. Andy is our go-to person for development and updating of our website, as well as the person who manages all of our marketing and promotional materials.”
“I have worked with Andy in various capacities over the past few years and he has always taken the initiative to complete tasks, plan new projects, and assist others in accomplishing their goals. Andy always has an open door and is willing to answer questions by students, faculty, staff, alumni, and even community members. He is present at all of the Center for Entrepreneurship’s and Blue Connection’s events in addition to planning his own at The Hub. His positive attitude and determination makes him well deserving of this award.”
“Andy has done a great job of working on multiple projects in the E-Center. He is the master at "multi-tasking." The E-Center is a very active place with many events, projects, and new initiatives. Andy has a calm demeanor and is always engaged. He has managed large events with great success.”
“Andy Heise has multiple talents but it is his passion for art and music that makes him irreplaceable to our office and to the community. Especially important is his event planning of the annual ‘High School Juried Art Show’. This show enables high school students to show off their talents, and get them name recognition throughout the State of Illinois. He is also an invaluable asset to the Millikin community, being involved in numerous programs along with the Millikin Faculty Fellows and several student ventures on campus.”
Congratulations, Andy, on such a well-deserved honor!
