Kirkland Blog > Posts > PostSecret events at Kirkland sure to spark discussion
I came across Frank Warren’s PostSecret site several years ago when I was completing my undergraduate degree. I think people have always had a fascination with secrets and the thoughts that other people keep hidden, so naturally the PostSecret blog has gained a strong following. Kirkland was lucky enough to book Frank Warren during his spring 2010 tour and has since been planning some exciting activities in conjunction with his February 26th presentation. Millikin University students have been working for the past several months on a display of postcards from Central Illinois submissions that will be viewable in the Lower Gallery at the Center from February 16-March 5. Utilizing Facebook and other social media sites, the group has been able to collect some unique submissions that they hope to send to Warren once the exhibit is disassembled. Kirkland is also planning to use Twitter to get people talking about his presentation and the exhibit. Discussions are being had on whether or not they want to have a tweetup before and after the show or just want the dialogue to continue online with hashtag #kfacpost. I look forward to hearing the comments from folks attending his presentation and those discussions about the postcards on display.
