Millikin University has been recognized by two national college ranking guides. Millikin is listed as one of the Midwest’s best colleges in The Princeton Review’s 2012 college selection guide. Millikin is also part of an elite group of universities recognized by Forbes magazine in its online list of “America’s Top Colleges.”
Millikin is one of 153 institutions The Princeton Review recommends in its "Best in the Midwest" section of its website feature, "2012 Best Colleges: Region by Region," on princetonreview.com.
The “Regional Best” colleges constitute only 25 percent of the nation’s four-year colleges.
Millikin is one of 26 colleges from Illinois to make Forbes’ national ranking of 650 academic institutions. A Forbes.com article accompanying the online listing states, “Our annual ranking… focuses on the things that matter the most to students: quality of teaching, great career prospects, graduation rates and low levels of debt.”
“We are thrilled to see Millikin included in the listings of best colleges in the Midwest,” remarked Millikin President Harold G. Jeffcoat. “Since its founding in 1901, Millikin’s mission has been to transform lives by delivering on the promise of education. Our performance-based learning approach does just that, preparing students for a lifetime of professional success.”
The Princeton Review rankings are based on institutional data obtained from the colleges in 2010-11, as well as student survey data on numerous issues, including academics, student population, and overall campus life.
