The Time Is Now.
Ready to start taking classes for your bachelor's degree? PACE is Millikin's accelerated bachelor's degree program designed for adult learners who want to earn a degree while maintaining their commitment to their current job and family. Classes start many times throughout the year, which means you can apply whenever you're ready! The evening accelerated program requires students to be highly motivated and dedicated. PACE students juggle family, work, and school, and the format is designed to make this possible. Adult learners have specific goals and possess the determination to achieve them.
Who should consider PACE?
The program is able to bring students in at many levels if they display the desire to be successful. Generally, adult students in the PACE program transfer in a minimum of 12 hours of college credit, but many transfer in with an Associate's degree. PACE can work with you at whatever stage you are in your educational journey. Generally, we require at least a 2.0 grade point average (GPA), but don't be discouraged if your GPA is below that level---we'd still like to talk to you!
PACE focuses on one class at a time. Classes are held in the evenings, one night per week from 6 to 10 p.m. Depending on the major, a course will run for 5, 8, or 10 weeks, then students move directly into the next course. Because of the accelerated nature of the program, students should expect a significant amount of time to be spent on homework assignments outside of the classroom. Refer to the About PACE section for more detailed program information.
