Tony Morton began acting professionally in television, theatre, and film immediately after graduate school. He has performed with the Nashville Shakespeare Festival (Henry V), Nashville Repertory Theatre (Clybourne Park, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead, LARRIES), Actor’s Bridge Ensemble (Sign in Sydney Burstein’s Window), Nashville Children’s Theatre (Bud, Not Buddy, Charlotte’s Web, Watsons Go to Birmingham-1963), and many others. He was a guest artist in Lipscomb University’s professional production of To Kill a Mockingbird, as Tom Robinson. He has also appeared in dozens of television commercials and several films, including Nothing but the Truth, starring Kate Beckinsale, Matt Dillon, and Angela Bassett.

Before coming to Millikin, he was a visiting professor at his alma mater, WKU, where he taught Acting 1, Acting 3, and served as the interim Technical Director. Prior to that, he was the Academic Theatre Director at Bethel University, where he directed two shows a year, taught Acting, Directing, Clowning, and Voice & Movement. Previously, he spent twelve years as the Theatre Director at Davidson Academy in Nashville TN. His curriculum included: Intro to Theatre, Advanced Acting, and African American History: An Exploration through Music, Media, and Film
