Housing Declaration
All students must declare housing by May 1st each year. "Declaring Housing" means that each students informs the University of where they are living for the next school year in alignment with our residency policy.
Students can declare housing by:
- Signing a lease at the Woods Apartments and paying your deposit.
- If you are in an Approved Greek Chapter Facility, your Chapter President or designee must email campuslife@millikin.edu with your name on the housing roster. Approved facilities are: Alpha Chi Omega (AXO), Delta Delta Delta (Tri Delta), Pi Beta Phi, Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE), and Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE).
Students who meet the off-campus criteria (link criteria) can submit the commuter form (link form to open as PDF) if living within 40 miles of campus with parent/guardian. If they meet the other criteria, they can submit the off-campus petition.
Students who do not declare housing and/or who are found in fault of falsifying their paperwork, will be assessed an off-campus living fee. The off-campus living fee is equal to the average room rate in a given academic year. For the 2025-2026 academic year, the average room rate is $7,000.
The off campus charge of $7,000 will be assessed on July 1. After July 1, no additional petitions will be considered and the fine will remain.
