CFA Spotlight Visit Day

Spotlight day

The College of Fine Arts is hosting a Spotlight Visit Day on Friday, December 2nd beginning at 1:00 p.m. for students interested in pursuing a degree in the fields of Art, Music, Theatre, or Arts Technology. At the College of Fine Arts Spotlight Day, you can learn about individual academic programs, tour program facilities, studios, and campus, speak with current students and faculty, and hear about financial aid and scholarship opportunities.

At 3:30, a series of special events featuring the work of students and faculty will begin, starting with the Arts Technology Expo where you will see examples and demonstrations of the latest technological skills our students are learning, including audio engineering, video production, digital media marketing, arts management, and live event technology projects.  While this event will end the formal Spotlight schedule, we invite you to spend the rest of the evening with us! Travel to downtown Decatur for an After 5 Live! event at the Blue Connection, Millikin’s own student-run retail art gallery, featuring student and faculty work – and refreshments!  Then have some dinner either downtown or back on campus, and return to the Kirkland Fine Arts Center for the 7:00 final dress rehearsal for Vespers, Millikin’s largest musical production – a holiday concert of epic proportions featuring over 300 student singers and musicians.

If you choose to spend the evening with us, our admission staff will be happy to help you arrange accommodations and on-campus meal passes.

Please join us for what promises to be a fabulous day (and night) of art!
