About
Chamber music experience is highly valued in the School of Music as a way to develop and enhance musicianship outside of the large ensemble setting, develop critical thinking skills as they pertain to interpretation in performance and foster independence and ownership over the creative music-making process. Chamber music ensembles regularly perform at School of Music functions, University events such as Commencement ceremonies and in off-campus venues. Highlights of previous chamber music ensembles include performances at the International Clarinet Association ClarinetFest®, the Midwest Trombone Euphonium Conference and the Illinois Music Education Conference.
